Principal's Message

At Porepunkah School we place every learner at the centre to ensure all students achieve success in their learning. Our purpose is to create an inclusive, safe, high quality learning environment.  We do this by making visible our school values: respect for self and others, confidence, resilience, honesty, tolerance, persistence and high expectations of ourselves and others in our school community.  At our assemblies each week students within each class receive a 'School Values Award of the Week', with the aim of reinforcing our values.

We are a happy community.  Transparent communications between all stakeholders allows us to act on positive and negative feedback to ensure we are always learning and moving forward.  Literacy and Numeracy is our core work however, we want our students to be engaged in learning that is fun. Explicit teaching allows our students to understand why they are learning a particular skill and how this will translate into becoming valuable global citizens.  Student voice and student leadership are important elements within our school culture.
