 WHO WE ARE: Porepunkah Primary School is part of the Victorian State Education system, providing quality education for the children and community of Porepunkah. This school takes great pride in its education programs and initiatives which aim to meet the needs and aspirations of our community as we enter the 21st Century. We are a small school of 140 children in the Goulburn: North Eastern Region and we are enthusiastically reaching out to the rest of the world through the use of technology and the power of telecommunications. WHERE WE ARE:Porepunkah is a small rural community in the North Eastern corner of the State of Victoria, Australia. The school is situated on the banks of the Ovens River, at the foot of Mt Buffalo in the Local Government area known as the Alpine Shire. Our region is a noted Tourist Haven which is characterised by fertile river valleys and the majesty of the Victorian Alps. The nearby mountains are covered with snow during the Winter months while the Autumn features the many introduced tree species as they become a spectacular blaze of color. |
